The winner is the position that gets a hand closest to 9 in the total card value. If one of the positions gets an 8 or a 9 after the first two cards, it is called a “natural” and the position wins. How a Round is Played

The first thing you should know when playing Baccarat is how to play a whole round, or a hand as it is also called, from start to finish. A hand of online baccarat starts off by the player placing a bet on the desired field. An 8 or 9 Secures a Win

An 8 or a 9 after the first 2 cards is called a “natural” and is an automatic win. However either the bank or the player, or even both, will be dealt an additional card depending on their respective scores.

A common misconception among new players is that one needs to get an 8 or 9 in order to win. This is not the case. Just like in Black Jack, the hand with the highest total score wins. On the other hand, Baccarat is different form Black Jack in that you have the possibility to bet both on the bank and the player. It is also totally possible to win with a hand that has only 1 point, whenever the other hand is 0.

How Cards are Dealt

Another difference observed when playing Baccarat is the fact that you do not have the possibility to choose whether or not a third card is dealt. This is decided entirely depending on the values of the cards given to both the player and the bank.
